We recently interviewed Kimberley Marlor at Krystal Clear Accounting about their experience with Apex Computing Services.

Could you introduce yourself and Krystal Clear Accounting?

I'm Kimberly Marlor from Krystal Clear Accounting. We help entrepreneurial business owners to get very crystal clear on their numbers and help them to grow their business, understanding their numbers and giving them back more time and less stress.

Why did you decide to partner with Apex Computing Services for your IT support needs?

It was really important to me that I had a proper kind of company that could look after and support us and look at all aspects of I.T., not just what I told them about, you know, I need you to just back this up, but actually advising me on what I needed.

What were the key factors that stood out to you when considering Apex as your IT support partner?

Daniel came across as a really nice guy who is also very knowledgeable. The fact that the company has been around for several years and has gone from strength to strength, but also the different departments, it's not just a case of phoning the Help desk and getting some support when one piece of software doesn't quite work or a Microsoft upgrade hasn't worked properly, but it's being able to talk to the account manager and say this is where I'm thinking of going, "Can you advise me on this?". Support from the latest technology and what we should be upgrading. And then more importantly these days, I suppose all the Cyber Security measures, what can we do to protect ourselves?

Could you share a specific scenario where Apex's IT support made a significant impact on your business?

In the last year, it's been the invaluable help and support in terms of moving offices. So making sure that we did have the right in terms of Cyber Security and that we have the right infrastructure in place. So we've completely changed the infrastructure and it feels like we've grown up a lot. And also it was the fact that our account manager was also able to explain how we could be more productive and efficient, you know, should something go wrong. So if somebody leaves a laptop on a train, we can wipe the laptop remotely. So all these additional kind of support features that again, you wouldn't necessarily think about, but it just relieves that headache.

How have you found the response times with Apex Computing?

My account manager is amazing and she will email me. Just last night I needed to order a new piece of kit. And she sent me an email first thing this morning and sent me an email last night. So, you know, absolutely first class!

How would you describe the overall impact of Apex Computing Services on Krystal Clear Accounting?

They are a strategic partner whom I rely on to advise me of the latest technology, the latest equipment, and the latest support needs. So ultimately I can now sit back and relax and not worry about it and just, you know, almost kind of wait for those guys to recommend what's the next step in the process. We have regular catch-ups with my account manager, which is fantastic. And also, you know, they're really, really nice and really helpful. And it's a pleasure to do business with them.

What advice would you give to other accountancy firms considering Apex Computing Services for their IT needs?
