At Apex Computing, our mission is to make IT simple. That doesn't just apply to day-to-day IT support. It also applies to the planned IT projects that help your business move forward. Our Project Delivery works closely with everything from refreshing servers to migrating emails, improving cyber security to moving the cloud, and more.
We help customers plan, coordinate and deliver IT projects in a controlled, structured way. From initial scoping through to delivery and handover into live support, our aim is to make sure every project is clearly managed, properly communicated and delivered with minimal disruption to your business.
With Apex, project management isn't just about completing technical tasks. It's about giving you confidence that your project has been properly scoped, clearly planned, carefully coordinated and fully supported once completed.
Whether you're planning an infrastructure upgrade, security improvement, cloud migration or workplace technology project, our team is here to help you deliver it with clarity and confidence.
Project work is different from day-to-day IT support.
While our Service Desk is there to respond quickly to everyday IT issues, project management focuses on planned work with a clear scope, agreed timescales and defined outcomes.
At Apex, every project starts with understanding what you need to achieve. From there, we scope the work, agree the approach, schedule the right people and manage delivery through to completion.
This gives you confidence that your project is not being handled as an afterthought. It is planned, owned and delivered by people who understand both the technical work and the impact it has on your business.
One of the key things that sets Apex apart is our dedicated project function.
Rather than relying solely on the same engineers who are handling urgent support issues, our projects are coordinated and managed by a team focused on planned delivery.
This means your project has clear ownership, consistent communication and a structured process from start to finish. You know who is involved, what is happening next and how the project is progressing.
For customers, this creates a smoother experience and helps reduce delays, confusion and disruption.
Successful IT projects involve more than just technical delivery.
There are timelines to manage, engineers to schedule, customer updates to send, risks to track and handovers to complete. Our PMO function helps keep all of those moving parts organised.
From coordinating project milestones to keeping communication clear, our Project Coordinator helps make sure everyone involved understands what needs to happen and when.
That structure helps your project stay on track and gives you a clear point of contact throughout the process.
Before a project begins, it is important to make sure the solution is right.
Our Solutions Architect works with customers to understand their current environment, business goals, technical requirements and any specific systems or tools they need to use.
From there, we create a clear scope of works that outlines what will be delivered and how.
This helps reduce surprises later in the project and ensures the recommended solution is practical, suitable and supportable long term.
We are not here to force a specific product into every customer environment. We focus on recommending solutions that meet your needs and that our team can confidently support after the project is complete.
A project does not end the moment the technical work is completed.
Once a solution is live, it needs to be supported properly. That is why our Project Management team works closely with our Service Desk.
Our engineers understand customer environments and can support projects when needed. Once the project is complete, knowledge is handed over into live support so the Service Desk understands what has changed, how the solution has been configured and how to support users going forward.
For customers, this means a smoother transition from project delivery into ongoing IT support.
Every business is different, so every project needs to be approached with care.
You may already have specific tools, systems or vendors you want to work with. Or you may need guidance on the best solution for your goals.
At Apex, we take the time to understand what you are trying to achieve before recommending a way forward. We will always consider what is right for your business, but we will also be honest about what can be supported effectively.
If a particular solution is not the right fit, we will tell you. That honest, practical advice helps protect your business from unnecessary complexity later on.
Behind every successful IT project is a team of people making sure the work is properly planned, clearly communicated and delivered with care.
At Apex, our Project Delivery function brings together project management, coordination, solutions architecture and technical expertise. This means your project isn't handled by one person in isolation. It's supported by a joined-up team who understand how to scope, plan, deliver and support the solution long term.

Service Desk support is focused on reactive, day-to-day IT issues. Project work is planned, structured and delivered over an agreed timeframe. It usually involves scoping, scheduling, technical delivery and handover into live support.
Your project will be supported by Apex’s Manchester basedProject Management team, including project coordination through the PMO and technical input from our Solutions Architect and engineers where required.
The Solutions Architect helps design the right solution before delivery begins. They assess your current environment, understand your objectives, advise on the best approach and help create a clear scope of works for the project.
Where possible, yes. Apex will take your existing systems, tools and preferences into account. However, we will also assess whether the solution is suitable and supportable long term. If we do not believe a particular product or approach is the right fit, we will give honest advice.
Once the project is complete, the solution is handed over into live support. This means the Service Desk understands what has changed and how to support it going forward.
Not necessarily. Apex can discuss project requirements with both existing customers and organisations considering working with us. If ongoing support is required after the project, we can also advise on the best support arrangement.
The first step is to speak to Apex about what you want to achieve. From there, we can understand your requirements, assess your environment and advise on the next steps for scoping and planning the project.
Let our team about your goals, challenges and upcoming IT requirements. We will help you understand the best next steps and how Apex can support your project from scoping through to live support.
