This week at Apex, we are welcoming our previous Service Desk Manager, Kate, to her new role as Account Manager. Kate has joined the Sales and Management Team, as one of three Account Managers . Here we ask her a few questions:
Hi Kate, what are you looking forward to most about starting your new role?
I'm looking forward to getting to know each of my accounts better; understand how the services we provide help their day-today businesses and how we can improve the level of service they receive, moving forward. I'm also looking forward to increasing my knowledge on the services we provide.
Have you been nervous about starting?
I wouldn't say I've been nervous, probably more excited about the change. In the two years I've worked for Apex, I have always been customer facing, and this is an aspect of my job I really enjoy. Account Management is a new level to roles I've already worked, and I look forward to further build the relationships I've already made with several customers.
You managed the major responsibilities as the Service Desk Manager so well, are you ready for a new challenge?
I am definitely ready for a new challenge. Running the service desk was something I hadn't done before, and I did enjoy it for the six months. Account Management and more customer facing roles is something that I'm best suited to.
Are you happy to be working in the office with your twin, Laura, again?
Having Laura back in the office is without a doubt a bonus, and being identical twins, we have a special connection. I did miss her for the six months she was on maternity leave - we are like two peas in a pod.
