Apex Raises Money for Zambaid

Apex Computing Services host a table at Zambaid to help Newall Green High Schools Charity.

On Saturday 17th November the latest of a series of fund raising events took place in the Marriot Hotel, Manchester. A meal, auction and raffle were held to raise money for Zambaid, an initiative set up by the SMILE federation trust to improve educational standards in schools in Zambia.

Apex Computing Services was pleased to host a table to help raise funds for the charity.

A group of 97 generous guests enjoyed a three course meal at the Marriot Hotel, during which the diners were entertained by a magician and caricaturist.

The event was hosted and organised by Jessica Genovese.

Newall Green High School hosted a wonderful evening, raising £3,720 for Zambaid. This is a significant step towards this year’s goal of £10,000. All of the money raised goes towards helping in schools in Zambia become more self-sufficient, introducing aspects of farming, helping them develop their curriculum, integrating ICT into teaching and learning, broadening the provision of Sport, and raising awareness of issues surrounding special educational needs and health.

Other schools at the event include Baguley Hall Primary School (pictured below), Newall Green Primary School and Benchill Primary School.
