We were delighted to announce Daryl Kelly, our Projects & Onboarding Manager as our Reliable Advocate following our Living The Values Awards at our Family BBQ. The awards were given based on feedback and nominations from everyone here at Apex!

What does it mean to you to receive the Reliable Award, especially knowing it was based on nominations from your peers?

It's an honour to get an award voted by my peers. I don't do what I do for recognition, I do it for our customers and the team but it is fantastic to receive the recognition.

In what ways do our company values guide how we work together as a team and the service we deliver to our customers?

Our values provide a foundation for maintaining alignment across the business. We play a unique role in delivering the level of service our customers require. The values underpin our commitment to delivering quality service to our customers.

What does a typical day at Apex look like for you?

A typical day at Apex is a balance between structure and adaptability. As a Project Manager, I start by reviewing active projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and deliverables are aligned. In my Onboarding Manager role, I work closely with new clients to make sure their transition to Apex is as smooth as possible, setting clear expectations, mapping out their needs, and making sure they feel supported from day one.

What excited me most about my role is seeing the impact we make on clients' businesses. Helping client go from feeling overwhelmed with IT challenges to having a reliable, streamlined setup is really rewarding. I also love the variety, every project is different, every client has unique needs.

What's your proudest professional achievement to date?

Leading our professional services team through its most successful period as we continue to grow stronger.

Are there any upcoming trends or technologies you're excited about?

I am excited about a lot of the new tech, but what excites me the most is that we are building a platform for the next and future generations to make a bigger impact on the world.

What's your go-to tip for someone facing a tech issue at work?

Never panic, especially in what can be seen as a major incident. Step away, make a brew and process the information you have received. Then take action.

Born and bred in Greater Manchester or moved here?

Manchester born and bred.

What local events, conferences, or communities do you enjoy getting involved in?

I coach both my son's and daughter's football teams voluntarily four days a week. This year, both teams won their leagues, which was especially rewarding.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with my family.

What's your ultimate goal (professional or personal) for the next year?

To focus on personal development and strive to continuously improve myself.

What's your favourite part about working at Apex?

We are a typical family; differences of opinion and occasional errors may occur. Nonetheless, we remain united in our dedication to achieving the best outcomes for both our clients and our team.

Joshua, he had played a major part in the success of Apex's journey. He embodies the values completely.
