At Apex, our values are more than words on a page - they guide how we work, how we treat each other, and how we deliver to our customers. This year, we came together to celebrate our whole team, but especially those who embody and truly live our five core values day-in and day-out.
The Living The Values Awards shine a spotlight on the people who make Apex special, and we're proud to share the stories behind this year's winners and runners-up; especially as the nominations came from across the whole business.
Don't forget to pop back to our News over the coming weeks to hear from each of our Winners individually!
Act With Integrity
- 🏆 Winner: Luke Collins (Senior Implementation Engineer)
- 🥈 Runner-Up: Jennifer Eden (HR Manager)
Integrity means doing the right thing, even when it's hard. Luke has set the standard with his consistent honesty, transparency, and dedication to doing what's best for the team and our customers. Jennifer, as runner-up, has also demonstrated a strong moral compass, showing that integrity is at the heart of how Apex operates.
"It's an honour to be recognised for 'acting with integrity' and the feedback from the nominations was deeply humbling. The recognition is significant because it reflects the value that guides our work to do what is right, even when challenging and unobserved. Many thanks go to all my colleagues, whose support and shared commitment to higher standards made this possible," said Jennifer.
Always a Team
- 🏆 Winner: Simon Mills (Service Desk Coordinator)
- 🥈 Runner-Up: Faizan Saqib (NOC/SOC Engineer)
At Apex, teamwork means supporting one another, stepping in when needed, and celebrating successes together. Simon's colleagues describe him as always willing to help and a cornerstone of collaboration. Faizan, too, has gone above and beyond to embody our "we, not me" spirit.

Reading their feedback was humbling, and I'm grateful to everyone who took the time to share it. Putting customers first is something I care about, but it's only possible because I'm part of such a supportive team," said Kate.

Enable Growth
- 🏆 Winner: Brandon Webb (Head of Operations)
- 🥈 Runner-Up: Rachael McKenzie (Marketing Manager)
Growth at Apex is about personal development, professional learning, and driving progress for the business, for the betterment of our people and the service and value our customers get from our team. Brandon has stood out for developing new processes, embracing change, and helping shape the culture of the team. Rachael's dedicated to learning and building momentum for growth has also been highly valued.
"I was incredibly honoured to be nominated by my colleagues at Apex for the Enable Growth Value Award and was so moved to actually win. We all work so hard to live this value and I can only thank all of my colleagues, without whom this achievement could not be possible. In this, my first year at Apex, the team have supported the transformation and change with positivity and dedication. To be where we are now is testament to their hard work and support. I am proud to be part of this team and the authentic nature of our culture and values. This means more at Apex (it is one of the many reasons I am here) and I am honoured to be recognised by the people of Apex in this way. Thank you so much," said Brandon.

Rachael added: "Having only been at Apex for less than 6 months it was incredibly humbling to be nominated for an award, let alone win runner-up. It means a lot to be part of such a supportive team where we're always learning and pushing forward together. Enabling growth at Apex is so easy to support as everyone is willing to chip in and help anyone with anything they need, and while marketing is quite a front-facing funnel for growing the business, I'm delighted that so many of the team from other departments are so keen to get involved in marketing and lend their knowledge and expertise (and get in front of the camera!). Thank you to everyone who nominated me and everyone else who had wonderful things to say about all the winners, runners-up, and team members who didn't win. All the winners are so deserving!"

"I am beyond thrilled to have been nominated for Living The Values and to have been selected as the Living The Values Champion and would like to thank everybody that nominated me and has supported me throughout my time at Apex. I never expected to win any of the values, let alone be selected as the overall Champion. I always aim to work to the values in everything I do. I would like to make a special thank you to Daniel and Chris for taking a chance on me at 17, when Apex was just a small team of 4 and helping me grow and continue to improve my knowledge as the company expanded," said Joshua.
The Apex Living The Values Awards remind us that Apex’s success is built on our people, their values, and the way they support each other and our customers. Congratulations to all of our winners and nominees – and thank you for making Apex the company it is today.
